Mr. Slattery has more than 18 years of experience in managing businesses involved in risk information and investigative consulting services. He provides expert consulting services to clients in domestic and international matters relating to corporate internal investigations, investigative due diligence, enterprise risk assessments, litigation support, competitive intelligence, asset searching and analysis, and compliance and monitoring services.
Experience
Mr. Slattery began his consulting career at Kroll Associates, where he was Executive Vice President. During his 14 year career at Kroll, he managed the New York office and North American operations, including corporate operations and administrations. In addition, Mr. Slattery also acted as:
- Deputy Special Master monitoring the New York City garment trucking industry
- Special Assistant to the Federal Election Officer for the International Brotherhood of Teamsters
- Deputy Federal Monitor for the Los Angeles Police Department
- Special Fact Finder who examined the operations of Covenant House
Mr. Slattery also served as President and Chief Operating Officer of the Carco Group, a major provider of technology-based risk solutions, investigative and security consulting to the legal community, corporations, governments and financial institutions.
Prior to his consulting career, Mr. Slattery spent 10 years as a Special Agent with the FBI. In that capacity, he investigated federal criminal violations relating to organized crime, bank fraud and embezzlement, bankruptcy fraud, fraud against the government, narcotics trafficking and money laundering. He has been recognized on a number of occasions by the U.S. Department of Justice and other federal and state agencies for his outstanding performance on such high profile cases as “The Pizza Connection.”
Mr. Slattery holds a Juris Doctorate from New York Law School and an M.B.A. with a concentration in accounting from St. John’s University in Queens, NY. He is an attorney and a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Slattery is a member of the Society of Former FBI Agents, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants.
