Simon Granger is a Senior Managing Director in FTI’s Corporate Finance practice and is based in London. Mr. Granger has more than 13 years of experience advising stakeholders through numerous restructurings, working capital and liquidity issues, distressed M&A processes and covenant amendments. His work experience encompasses a broad range of industries for both large and middle market companies across Europe and the US.
Experience
Mr. Granger’s work includes the hands-on management of crisis situations on behalf of companies and their lenders, as well as traditional financial advisory services, including due diligence, valuation and contingency planning. Mr Granger also has extensive expertise in advising stakeholders to businesses with large defined benefit pension obligations, having represented employers, trustees and lenders in negotiations with The Pensions Regulator and the Pension Protection Fund.
Some of Mr. Granger’s notable recent assignments include acting as financial advisor to the lenders of the Quinn Group, Renewable Energy Corp, Jost Werke AG, Deutz AG, Heijmans NV, Chesapeake Corp, Econcern NV and Vanco Plc. Mr. Granger has recently advised a number of companies through complex balance sheet and operational restructurings including; Polestar Corporation, Focus DIY, Ennstone Plc, Novus Leisure, Nybron Corporation and Jessops Plc.
Prior to joining FTI, Mr. Granger spent nine years at Deloitte LLP. During that time, Mr Granger acted on a number of high profile restructuring assignments including Gate Gourmet, Treofan, Mayflower Group and Jarvis. Mr. Granger spent approximately 1 year seconded to Cable and Wireless in the USA and Caribbean providing an interim financial function to the group and a further 6 months seconded into Queens Moat Houses through its restructuring.
Mr. Granger is a fellow of the chartered certified accountants and a licensed insolvency practitioner.
